Activities

Surrounded by cardamom fields and forested tracts teeming with birds, this is the ideal base for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Placed at 5,580ft, overlooking the snow-capped Eastern Himalayas, the six-acre farm, home to goats, cows and poultry, is helmed by brothers Chewang and Sonam R Bonpo. Most of the produce grown here, including maize, buckwheat, finger millet, green peas, potato, pumpkin, beans and lettuce, is stirred up into delicious home-cooked meals. Farm-fresh eggs, milk and milk products from the resident Jersey cows also end up at the table.

Four acres of cultivated fields, tea gardens and six acres of lush green cardamom forests surrounding the farmhouse makes your stay relaxing and peaceful.

The forest abounds with wild edible foods such as bamboo shoots, ferns and mushrooms. A stay in the farmhouse is different from a typical hotel or a resort because you can enjoy the comforts of a homely environment. All meals prepared from freshly grown organic vegetables from the nearby fields.
