After making iconic Bollywood movies, including Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Akele Hum Akele Tum and Josh, Bollywood director, producer and screenwriter Mansoor Khan traded Mumbai for Coonoor in the Nilgiris. He and his wife, Tina, set up this 22-acre farm, making organic gourmet cheese.

Sitting pretty at 5,500ft, with hens, turkeys, guinea fowl and cows for company, they also grow vegetables, fruit and herbs to flavor their cheeses. You can see wildlife here too – elephants, leopard, bear, deer, wild boar, wild cat, porcupine, birds.

The goal at Acres Wild farm is to shape an eco-friendly, holistic and self-sustaining life style, grow our own food organically and share this experience with visitors to the farm stay. No chemicals are used to increase bio-diversity and keep tillage to a minimum.
