This heritage site has see hundreds of years of love and wars, royalty and monarchs, and it now it stands tall in its finest splendor. The palace is located just 14 kilometers from Rajkot.

The palace has been attacked a number of times, but it remained undefeated. Mohbatkhan, the Nawab of Junagadh, attacked the Khirasara Castle twice, but his forces could not stand the strategy and bravery of Thakore Ranmalji. As memories of those victories, two canons of Junagadh artillery were mounted on the eastern gate of the castle. Once Meraman Khawas of Jamnagar attacked Khirasara but the Castle again remained undefeated.
